After years of operating on patients of various ethnicities, Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj understands the need for using different nasal reshaping techniques. In particular, Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj points out that the noses of African Americans and Asian Americans are often wider and flatter than Caucasian noses. However, many doctors do not take into account these differences and often use the same generic sculpting technique for patients of all ethnicities. Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj also notes that during recovery, darker skin is more susceptible to scarring and can either intensify or fade in color to no longer match the rest of the patient’s face. Besides perfecting his skills at narrowing nostrils and refining the tip of the nose, Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj has invented the SLUPImplant, which adds a bridge for extra dimension. The SLUPImplant nasal augmentation is growing in popularity, and Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj has expounded on his technique at medical conferences in recent years.
In addition to the SLUPImplant, Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj developed the SLUPLift, which has also seen increased demand from his clients. Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj first introduced the SLUPLift in October 2007. Essentially a neck and jowl lift, it has been referred to as a new “lunchtime lifting procedure.” People who are concerned about sagging jowls are enthusiastic about the SLUPLift because it is a less invasive outpatient procedure that requires no sedation, leading to a shorter recovery time than other facelifts. Some of Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj’s clients claim that the SLUPLift has taken ten years off their previous appearance. Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj contends that the SLUPLift has a more lasting effect than similar operations because he sutures the muscle under the skin, allowing the skin to remain tighter for a longer time.
Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College and is double board certified. He is also a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. As the Director of The Aesthetic Institute of New York and New Jersey, Dr. Oleh Slupchynskyj treats patients at his offices on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and in Chatham, New Jersey.
